In The Hague, Serpro took part in a technical agenda promoted by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands to exchange experiences on Digital Government and discuss strategic trends for the transformation of public services. Brazilian and Dutch experts debated initiatives from both countries related to digital identity and digital wallets, governance and transparency in the use of algorithms, and spatial-information applications dedicated to public-policy formulation.

“The meeting reinforces the international recognition of Brazil’s experience in Digital Government and Serpro’s role in this ecosystem. With more than 175 million accounts on Gov.br and thousands of public services integrated into the platform, Brazil is today a global reference in digital identity, offering a unified and secure experience for citizens accessing public services”, says Serpro’s Superintendent of New Business, Carlos Alexandria.

Serpro’s International Business Manager, Juliana Braz, highlights that the technical exchange helps identify collaboration opportunities and keep pace with global trends. “Topics such as digital identity, algorithm governance, and trust in digital services are at the core of international discussions on public-sector innovation. Exchanging experiences and tracking the evolution of these agendas strengthens our positioning as a strategic partner for digital-transformation projects”, she adds.

The agenda was supported by the Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and is part of international cooperation initiatives aimed at sharing best practices and strengthening the digital-government ecosystem.

Brazilian experience gains international projection

Brazil’s progress in initiatives such as digital identity, public-service interoperability, state digital transformation, and data governance has increased international interest in the country’s experience. In this context, Serpro has been strengthening its global presence through participation in multilateral forums, technical missions, and international cooperation projects focused on knowledge sharing and the development of digital solutions for governments.

In the first half of the year, the company took part in international discussions on digital infrastructure and tax administration at the Luso-Brazilian Congress of Tax Auditors (CLBAF), joined strategic agendas on artificial intelligence with international partners — including initiatives developed with China and India —, became a member of the World Data Organization board, and supported digital-transformation projects through consulting services in countries such as Angola. Serpro also welcomed international delegations interested in Brazil’s digital-government experience, such as the mission with representatives from Cameroon and Nepal in 2026.

Beyond technical cooperation, digital-identity solutions developed by Serpro already operate in dozens of countries. Currently, Consulta CPF has more than 140 active contracts in 45 countries,

while Datavalid is used by 55 clients in 25 countries, reinforcing the international presence of Brazilian public technology.

“All this movement confirms that the accumulated experience of Serpro in operating critical digital infrastructures for the Brazilian State qualifies the company to act as a strategic partner for governments and institutions in the digital transformation of public services, whether through technical cooperation or as a provider of information-technology solutions”, concludes Alexandria.
